Terror in the Middle East continues
Isis' rain of terror rolls on
Many of us are already aware of the multiple be-headings of our American journalist as well as a British journalist. The terrorist group Isis has been behind these terrible acts. According to the article, Isis has been pushing their limits even further by encouraging these vicious attacks. Another militant group that goes by the name of Ajnad Misr has responded to the Isis announcement by setting off a bomb on a busy Cairo street. This bomb killed two officers of the law, that belonged to the Egyptian government. I think the matter of terrorist organizations near and around Egypt is a very big one and the UN should be putting it on their list of things to stop. This has already gone on long enough, and they are targeting harmless and defenseless people. They have clearly shown their hostile nature towards our citizens and Great Britain's, what do you think should be done about this situation?

I think that the UN should definitely be making this situation one of their priorities because things at this point are getting a bit out of hand. The fact that Isis is targeting innocent and harmless people should bring this situation into the light and get people to notice what's going on. Isis definitely needs to be put at a stop as soon as possible because at the moment it seems as if they feel like they can do whatever they want, and the reality of the situation is that they can't. I think that eventually military force might have to be considered if these brutal acts keep occurring to ensure the safety of the people.
ReplyDeleteAgreeing with what Edgar said, I feel that the UN should be taking more action regarding this issue. One thing that I would like to point out is that this article concentrates more on Ajnad Misr's hostility aimed at Egypt's security forces. The fact that the militant group is targeting the security forces and announcing their responsibility over the bombing reveals that they are not only attack harmless and defenseless citizens, but also confident that they can beat down any security force at the moment. In this situation where more and more actions including beheading and bombing are being encouraged while the safety of the citizens of Egypt and of any other places ISIS targets is compromised, the UN should definitely take action to increase defense in all countries, so as to at least keep the innocent people safe.
ReplyDeleteThe UN has lately been slow in replying quickly to international affairs, but ISIS and the Ebola outbreak recently are not to be taken lightly. People are dying, and the people's goverments are not doing much to save them. Other countries such as the US have no responsibility (except for the beheading of journalist) to interfere and they already get criticism for doing so excessively. The UN on the other hand has the responsibility to help these people, and with their resources there is no excuse to not do so.
ReplyDeleteI believe this situation is more serious than anyone can think. It really can bring up another stage of violence in the Middle East. It is the UN's responsibility to make some arrangements to find the root that this terrorist organization is feeding from, and encourage the big powers of the area to help stopping these cruel people. Innocent people are dying everyday, and no effective action has been taken by the UN. I believe the only way to stop this terrorist organization is for countries to get together, and help stop this outrageous event.
ReplyDeleteI belive that the UN has not acted quickly enough o n be half of these terro strikes, they made it clear tey have no respect for ethic due to beheading to inist jounalists who were just doing ther jobs they had wives and children. no one deserves to be beheaded on national telivision just to prove a point.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the UN needs to intervene in this situation. Innocent lives are being taken an it is unfair to these people, because they count on the UN to support and defend them, they are not doing their job.
